Parent-Child Reunification Therapy
Parent–child reunification services at Solvera Therapy are a structured, trauma-informed clinical service designed for families navigating estrangement, relational rupture, prolonged disconnection, or significant communication challenges.
The reunification process is individualized and guided by clinical assessment, emotional readiness, safety considerations, and therapeutic appropriateness. Services may be appropriate for families seeking to rebuild communication, strengthen relationships, and create opportunities for meaningful reconnection within a structured therapeutic environment.
Parent–child reunification services are provided within a psychotherapy framework and may involve individual sessions, parent consultations, therapeutic coaching, and facilitated conjoint sessions when clinically indicated.
Clinical Process
Each case is unique; however, the process generally includes:
Initial clinical screening and consultation
Individual assessment sessions with participants
Evaluation of readiness, stability, and therapeutic appropriateness
Development of a structured treatment plan
Therapist-facilitated reunification sessions when appropriate
Ongoing assessment, integration, and therapeutic support
Progression through the process is guided by clinical readiness, safety considerations, and therapeutic appropriateness rather than predetermined timelines.
Clinical Focus
Treatment may address:
Parent–child estrangement
Relational rupture and disconnection
Family conflict and communication difficulties
Emotional regulation challenges
Trust-building and relational repair
Trauma-related barriers to connection
Reintegration following prolonged separation
The pace and structure of treatment are individualized based on the needs of the family and the clinical presentation of participants.
Investment
Fees vary based on case complexity, number of participants, and the level of clinical coordination required.
All cases begin with a required parent–child reunification consultation and clinical screening. This 60–90 minute appointment is billed at $350 and is used to assess appropriateness for services, clarify goals, review relevant background information, and discuss the reunification process.
Additional services, including parent consultations, reunification sessions, document review, collateral coordination, court-related communications, and report preparation, are billed separately according to the reunification fee schedule.
A detailed fee schedule and service agreement are provided following the initial consultation and screening process.
Clinical Labor and Coordination
Parent–child reunification services often require clinically necessary work outside of scheduled appointments.
This may include:
Treatment planning
Review of records and documentation
Collateral coordination when appropriate and authorized
Communication related to treatment implementation
Ongoing structuring and monitoring of the reunification process
All professional time is directed toward treatment planning, safety monitoring, and therapeutic progression.
Clinical Boundaries
Solvera Therapy provides reunification services strictly within a clinical psychotherapy framework.
These services are not forensic in nature and do not include:
Custody evaluations
Parental fitness assessments
Psychological evaluations
Forensic opinions
Recommendations regarding custody or placement
Determinations of parental rights
Guardian ad litem services
Mediation services
Participation in treatment does not guarantee reunification, restoration of contact, or any specific outcome. Services may be modified, paused, or discontinued based on clinical judgment, safety concerns, treatment participation, or therapeutic appropriateness.
Legal Involvement
If clinical records, subpoenas, or testimony are requested through legal process, Solvera Therapy complies with applicable legal and ethical requirements.
Court-related services, including record preparation, document review, consultation with attorneys, deposition preparation, testimony, and court appearances, are billed separately according to the current professional fee schedule.
The therapeutic role remains distinct from the legal process. Solvera Therapy does not provide legal opinions or recommendations regarding custody, timesharing, or parental fitness.
Getting Started
All cases begin with a consultation and clinical screening to determine appropriateness for parent–child reunification services.
If accepted, participants complete intake documentation and begin the assessment phase prior to any facilitated reunification work.
